Help! I’m Dealing With Rosacea!

Rosacea is a skin condition that causes large red patches, sometimes accompanied by pus-filled bumps. In severe cases, the condition starts at the nose or the cheeks and may spread across the rest of the face, neck, and body. Sadly, there is no permanent cure available—however, there is a simple treatment with the Excel V system. More often than not, rosacea shows up when a person’s immune system is altered in some way. Studies show that a peptide protein called cathelicidin is responsible for the appearance of redness and skin bumps that characterize this condition. When a lot of this peptide is produced, the skin becomes inflamed and begins to develop enlarged vessels along with irritation. Thankfully our team at Comprehensive Family Medicine & Aesthetics has you covered!

Experience Cutera Excel V

Cutera Excel V is a laser treatment option that can safely and effectively treat several skin conditions on both men and women of all skin tones. Excel V laser is primarily known for treating vascular conditions such as spider veins and broken capillaries. This laser can also treat benign pigmented lesions and sun-damaged areas. It treats the vascular lesions by administering a unique high-power green laser, which is absorbed very selectively by the abnormal vessels. This causes the vein walls to collapse and seal shut. Over time the vessels will no longer be visible. Struggling with unsightly veins can be a thing of the past.

Excel V Treats Rosacea + So Much More!

Excel V has been known to effectively treat mild and severe forms of conditions, including rosacea, diffuse redness, wrinkles, bruising, acne scars, as well as face and leg veins. If you are ready to take back control of your skin, this treatment may be right for you.

Rosacea Awareness Month

Dealing with rosacea can sometimes feel like you are fighting a battle all alone. Thankfully, our Comprehensive Family Medicine & Aesthetics team is here to support you 100%. April has been designated Rosacea Awareness Month by the National Rosacea Society (NRS) to educate the public on this condition estimated to affect more than 16 million Americans. Increased understanding has led to significant advances in the control of rosacea, allowing many of those who suffer from this chronic disorder to live free of its embarrassing symptoms for the first time.
