Dr. Katherine “Kate” Gordon has been a family doctor for 20+ years and is currently practicing in her hometown of West Columbia, SC. A graduate of Clemson University and MUSC in Charleston, she has special interests in a “holistic” approach to treating people, including providing traditional family medicine as well as alternative approaches to making her patients feel better.

Andrea Caughman has been in the Aesthetics business for over 20 years born and raised in Lexington SC. She is a Certified Medical Assistant who specializes in Dermatology since 2005. She is excited to have joined Dr. Kate Gordon at Comprehensive Family Medicine and Aesthetics to offer advanced aesthetic treatments alongside Dr. Gordon in her busy practice. She has extensive knowledge with background and certifications in Skin Cancer, Lasers, Microneedling, Co2 Laser, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion, Dermaplaning, Fillers, Botox, and Medical Grade Skin Care.

Antoinette Pinckney is originally from Darlington, SC, and moved to Columbia in 2004. She is Dr. Gordon’s Certified Medical Assistant and has been working with her for the past 7 years. She has an Associate Degree in Applied Science from ECPI University and currently furthering her education at Orangeburg Technical College to obtain her RN License. She originally started with Dr. Gordon at Woodhill Family Medicine and continued on here to her personal practice to help her to continue to grow for the better.

Jawanna Watson has an Associate Degree in nursing, a bachelor’s in Psychology, a certified medical office administrator, certified HIPAA Officer, Notary, and Certified in aesthetic Lasers. She has been in the medical field for 21 years. Working in areas such as urgent care, dermatology, family medicine. “Dr. Gordon blessed me with an opportunity to start working with her in August of 2020, after working with her at a previous practice I was pleased to join her team and help her grow her practice.”

Rayetta Robinson is a Medical Assistant who has been with Dr. Gordon’s private practice for 2 years but has worked for her for a total of 4 years. She graduated from Beta Tech College in Medical Assistant program in 2007. She was born and raised in Columbia SC. She enjoys drawing, spending time with her family, and watching basketball.

10/10 experience. If I could rate it 10 stars I would. Starting from the front desk, they always pick up/return calls quickly and were sweet and professional. The nurse was very empathetic and took her time checking me out, usually I feel rushed and a burden. The nurse practitioner was outstanding, she was very knowledgeable about my symptoms & knew exactly what to do next. They were even able to administer a test in the office instead of sending me to the lab! I have nothing bad to say about this office, thank you for setting the bar so high.

I have suffered from severe back pain for years now that had gotten worse very fast recently. All of my other doctors ignored me all because of my age and I had begun to think myself that i was crazy. The FIRST visit with my new Doctor Dr. Gordon changed everything. She instantly scheduled an MRI and they FOUND A DIAGNOSIS!! Without her i doubt I ever would have found one. She listens and genuinely cares about her patients. Highly recommend people going to her.

I've been going to a huge hospital/doctor chain since I moved to Columbia 6 years ago. Over the years, I spent hours on the phone trying to get prescriptions filled, appointments scheduled, and just a call back from a doctor or nurse. I thought that was my only option and that it was the norm until my NP left that practice and I made the switch the Comprehensive Family Medicine. When I say in and out, I mean I was in there and I out was out just like that! The whole appointment took barely 30 minutes. Dr. Katherine Gordon is not only knowledgeable and thorough, she is hilarious. The front staff is so attentive and always pleasant. After an injury, I probably called their office 10 times trying to get appointments scheduled and referrals secured and they answer the phone (a real person not an answering machine) every single time, and if they have to call me back they call me back quick with the right information. This doctor's office came into my life at a time when I really needed quality medical care and due diligence and I am grateful. They get my referral every time.

Dr. Gordon and her staff are excellent! I have only had positive interactions with her staff. As for Dr. Gordon herself, I have never meet a more professional, thorough, caring physician. I have never experienced this level of genuine care and compassion from a doctor and their staff before. I am just a regular patient and I do not subscribe to any advance services. I am truly thankful I found her practice.
